Day 1: ARRIVAL DAY AT NAIROBI
Pick up from the airport on arrival and transfer you to Fairview hotel for overnight stay in Nairobi.
Day 2: NAIROBI - MAASAI MARA NATIONAL RESERVE
A driver guide from Select Safaris Africa limited will pick you up from your hotel at 0730 hrs and drive via the scenic Great Rift Valley, to the Mara National Reserve arrive in time for lunch. Later on, an afternoon game drive is taken. Dinner and overnight stay at Mara Sarova Game lodge.
Day 3 & 4: MAASAI MARA EXPLORATION (MIGRATION TRAIL)
Spend a full day exploring the park trailing wildebeest migration and optional hot air balloon safari can be arranged at an extra cost of US$ 480 per person then drive back to your lodge. Dinner and overnight stay at Mara Sarova Game lodge The Maasai Mara Game Reserve is arguably Kenya's most popular national game sanctuary. It is the most famous and is the country's most visited game reserve. The film production 'Out of Africa' to a great extent was made in this reserve. Virtually every type of wildlife can be seen at the Mara. A spectacle worth seeing is the annual migration of millions of wildebeest, zebra and gazelle from Serengeti plains across the Tanzania border and the Mara River to reach Maasai Mara grazing fields from late June. The dramatic crossing of the river and the preying on the migrants by predators can be viewed from early July to August. The reserve abounds with birdlife since dose to about 452 species have been recorded. Hot air balloon safaris are readily available in this park
Day 5: TRANSFER FROM MAASAI MARA TO LAKE NAKURU NATIONAL PARK
Following breakfast drive to Lake Nakuru National park- arrive in time for lunch at Flamingo hill lodge afternoon game drive is amazing in this scenic park famed for numerous species of bird life especially the pink flamingoes .Dinner and overnight stay at Sarova Lion Hill Lodge Lake Nakuru, a shallow alkaline lake in the Rift Valley, famed for its spectacular flamingo population as one of the world's greatest ornithological spectacles. Although Lake Nakuru is primarily a bird sanctuary, there are a considerable number of animals to be encountered, large game such as zebras, elephants and gazelles, this is one of our best chances of seeing rhinos. Lake Nakuru National Park was the first place in Kenya selected as a rhino reserve. Here is one of the few places where we can see Rothschild's giraffes. .
Day 6: LAKE NAKURU - NAIROBI - KIGALI RWANDA
Following breakfast, proceed to Nairobi. Have Lunch at the Carnivore restaurant drop off at the airstrip to board your flight to Kigali on arrival our representative will meet you and transfer you to Kigali Serena Hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 7: KIGALI CITY TOUR RWANDA
Have your breakfast, there after visit Gisozi Genocide Memorial Ground, the handicrafts shops, the museum, and many other fascinating places in Kigali. Have your lunch and after transfer to Ruhengeri for an overnight stay at Mountain Gorilla View Lodge or Kinigi guest house
Day 8: GORILLA TRACKING IN VOLCANOES NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast, our driver guide will drive you to the park headquarters for briefing from the head of the park rangers. At 8.00 am local time, enter the forest for your memorable gorilla tracking experience. The trek can take you between 2-7 hours depending on where the gorilla family is. You will be left in the presence of the awesome mountain gorillas for about an hour. Take photographs and enjoys the antics of baby gorillas as they swing from tree branch to another. Gorilla trekking is the best of wildlife experience in Africa.
Return to the lodge, in the evening cultural performances and nature walks are optional and can be pre-arranged
Day 9: SECOND GORILLA TRACKING AND CULTURAL WALK
After your breakfast, you will again drive to the park headquarters in Volcanoes National Park to enjoy your second encounter with the gentle giants. After tracking, you will return for lunch and rest or go for a cultural walk in the Banyarwanda Community. Dinner and overnight at your lodge.
Day 10: EITHER GOLDEN MONKEYS/DIAN FOSSEY HIKING OR BOAT CRUISE AND DEPARTURE
Have a relaxed breakfast, you will either do a boat ride at lake Kivu, go to track the unique primates - golden monkeys, or visit Karisoke Research Centre and hike to the tombs of our great primatologist. In the afternoon, transfer back to Kigali for your scheduled flight back home.
