4 DAYS DOUBLE GORILLA TRACKING RWANDA & Uganda

This 4 day safari which starts and ends in Kigali- Rwanda, with 2 gorilla permits Parc Nationale des Volcanoes and Bwindi in Uganda. The tour rewards you the opportunity to see some of the last remaining about 900 mountain gorillas in the world, which is an exceptional experience. It offers you an opportunity to track gorillas twice, This double trek is totally a different experience with two different gorilla families each in a very unique habitat.

Day 1: Arrival-Volcanoes National Park

On arrival at Kigali international airport, you will be picked up by a Select Safaris Africa Representative who will drive you straight to the home of the Gorillas, Parc Nationale des Volcanes (PNV). It is located in the North-western part of Rwanda in the Virunga ranges. The gorillas found this a permanent home because of the vegetation which favors them and provides plenty of food. The vegetation is Bamboo and rainforest. Not only have the mountain gorillas found this a permanent home, but also other animals like golden monkeys, chimpanzees enjoy living here. The Zoologist Dian Fossey had a good stay in this park while relating with the gorillas before she was murdered. Arrive in time for lunch, enjoy the meal, later relax or visit the twin lakes or other places of interest surrounding the park.

Day 2: Gorilla tracking in PNV

Have Breakfast, with packed lunch drive to the park headquarters for a briefing. After the briefing begin the search for the gorillas in the jungle forest. This can go from 2 to 8 hours of trekking. This all depends on the movement of the gorillas. You are allowed one hour of photography when you get to the gorillas. Enjoy your packed lunch, later when out of the forest, drive back to the lodge, for dinner and overnight stay

Day 3: Second Gorilla tracking

Following early Breakfast, with packed lunch, drive to the park headquarters for a briefing. After the briefing begin the search for the gorillas in the jungle. This can go from 2 to 8 hours of trekking. This all depends on the movement of the gorillas. You are allowed one hour of photography when you get to the gorillas. Enjoy your packed lunch, later when out of the forest, drive back to the lodge, for dinner and overnight stay

Day 4: Reserve for Departure

After Breakfast, drive to Kigali, proceed to the airport for your departure flight
