Day 1 Drive to Masai Mara
Leave Nairobi at 0700 Hrs for a 4-5 hour drive to Masai Mara. Your drive will take you through spectacular escarpments and panoramic view of the expansive floors of the Great Rift Valley laden with patches of whistling thorn acacia plants. The Great Rift Valley gives way to the rolling shrub land with predominantly wooded bush land and riverine vegetation along the streams and dry river beds. After a brief stopover you continue to Masai mara via the Loita plains with the Loita Hills in the background. Arrive at Ol Moran Tented Camp for a sumptuous lunch. Proceed for an afternoon game drive in the Masai Mara National Reserve for your first date with the African wild. Dinner and overnight at Ol Moran Tented Camp.
Day 2 Game Drive in Mara
After breakfast we proceed for a full day game drives in the Mara. The Mara Game Reserve is largely plains and the open grasslands are habitat to rich and varied wildlife such as lion, leopard, cheetah, buffalo, zebra, giraffe etc. There are also several species of birds. The annual migration of millions of wildebeests and zebras and gazelles from July to September is a spectacle never to be missed by any visitor to the Mara. The Masai Mara in drained majorly by the famous River Mara, which has over the years increased the spice of the wildebeest migration season. Mara River crossing is one of the most astonishing and absorbing spectacles especially with the hungry crocodiles ready to pounce. We drive back to the camp in the mid afternoon. Day 3 Early Morning Game Drive and Back to Nairobi
You will proceed for an early morning game drive as from 0600 Hrs for an opportunity to catch up with the activity of the nocturnal and semi nocturnal animals which are rarely active during the heat of the day. Return to your camp for breakfast and preparation for departure and transfer back to Nairobi in time to arrive by late afternoon.
